Mohammad Rizwan batted unbroken for 77 runs and Babar Azam scored 66 as Pakistan chased down 256 runs against New Zealand with six wickets in hand in the first One-Day International at National Stadium in Karachi on Monday. Earlier, Naseem Shah’s second five-wicket haul in the format assisted the hosts in limiting the Kiwis to 255 for 9 in 50 overs. When asked to bat first, New Zealand kept losing wickets and failed to create a difficult goal for Pakistan. In addition to Naseem, debutant spinner Usama Mir took two wickets. Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz each took one wicket.
