On Friday at Adelaide Oval, New Zealand overcame Ireland by 35 runs in their T20 World Cup 2022 encounter. Ireland was restricted to 150 for nine in 20 overs when pursuing a 186-run chase, with Lockie Ferguson taking three wickets for New Zealand. In the interim, Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner both won by two wickets. Paul Stirling batted first for Ireland, scoring 37 runs off 27 balls. New Zealand reached 185 for six in 20 overs as Kane Williamson smashed 61 runs off 35 balls, including five fours and three sixes. Joshua Little, who was in excellent form, took a hat-trick in the 19th over. Gareth Delany took two wickets for Ireland.
