India Vs Pakistan Thriller
On Sunday, the Indian cricket team faced Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and a classic Virat Kohli chase was on display. The match was a spectator sport, with India winning on the very last ball, courtesy of Kohli’s unbeaten 82. The echoes of the Indo-Pak battle at the MCG were so strong that even Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh couldn’t stop singing the match’s praises.
Marsh admitted in a press conference on Monday that cricketing matches don’t get much better than the one that took place in Melbourne on Sunday.
He even predicted that if the World Cup “gets any better than that, we’re in for an incredible three weeks.”
“I believe the World Cup should be called off at that point. If it gets any better than this, we’re in for an incredible three weeks. India vs. Pakistan is always a thrilling match to watch. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to be in that crowd and a part of it “Marsh made the remarks during a press conference on the eve of Australia’s match against Sri Lanka.
Marsh also praised Virat Kohli, who arguably delivered his best T20 performance yet, guiding India to a 160-run victory from near-impossible situations.
“But, yes. Amazing. When it comes to his career, Virat Kohli has had a disappointing year. And for him to do that, you know, to leave his mark on the World Cup, it was an incredible inning to watch, a fantastic game to watch. So, hopefully, there will be a few more of those “Marsh said.
Australia’s campaign hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts, as they defeated New Zealand in their first match. If the hosts are to advance to the semi-finals, they must defeat Australia.
